Unguided Refuge Retreat 14th-20th March 2010
At Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre, 14 Church St Mayfield    
The purpose of this retreat is to deepen our experience of refuge. The foundation of the Buddhist way of life is to go for refuge _ to Buddha, to guide us along the spiritual path to enlightenment; to Dharma (Buddha’s teachings), the opponent to delusions, the source of all our suffering; and to Sangha (those practising Buddha’s teachings) to inspire us, show a good example and to help us along the path to inner peace. Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of the sessions, all sessions are free of charge.

Je Tsongkhapa Empowerment (special event)

In this special blessing ceremony called an 'Empowerment' we will receive the powerful blessings of the wisdom Buddha, Je Tsongkhapa. By receiving his blessings we create the causes within our own mind to increase our wisdom, the real source of happiness. In this daycourse Gen Kelsang Rabten will grant the empowerment and give commentary to Heart Jewel; the heart practice of Kadampa Buddhism. $50 (includes vegetarian lunch) $40 concession.
